Obesity is not a state, It's a preventable & treatable disease. Obesity is major predictor of all kind of diseases like heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, lung disease, cancer etc.
In India 3 out of every 4 adult is overweight. Such I, wide prevalence in India gives an idea about its seriousness. Childhood & adolescent obesity is increasing heavily due to current lifestyle & eating habits.
But exercising exhaustingly, haphazardly & doing crash diets does not help fat loss. It can have many adverse effects like injury to knee, spine & also hamper normal mileu of the cardiovascular & hormonal system!
Following WHO standards Systematic, Scientific & Individualized Cardiopulmonary Conditioning, Strength training to increase the Lean Mass, Circuit training which is a combination of cardiopulmonary conditioning & strength training, Abs workout which includes abdominals & back exercises, Seasonal workouts like dance workout, garba workout & Dietary Modification constitutes the entire Obesity Rehab at Mission Health. Exercise is individualized & monitored. Our target is increasing the Basal Metabolic Rate which gives long term results.

Safety is most important for exercising children as vigorous high impact exercises can stunt growth & have adverse effects on their delicate hormonal system as well. The main goal is to help them maintain the current weight, change their dietary habits & modify their lifestyle to an active one & increase the metabolic rate.
